Lost - Another Hidden Clue
Ok "LOST" fans. I bring yet another installment of "Talking Backwards with Walt". Yes, that’s right folks. There is another hidden messagein Walt’s backward gibberish after all.
This evening while looking for more connections, I found a short clip from the season 2 premier. After Shannon loses the dog, she goes running into the jungle looking for him. She sees the soaking wet Walt in a small clearing and he signals her to be quiet (perhaps, as if to listen?) Then some gibberish, which we now know is backwards dubbing, flies out of Walt’s mouth.
Once more, I recorded it on my Mac and played it backwards using Quicktime Pro. He says "Don’t press the button. The button is bad". What’s even more interesting is that this is before the "button" is even introduced.
My sister has motivated me to purchase last season’s episodes and review Walt’s comments, since he seems to have an ESP kinda’ thing going on… so no doubt his role is pivitol… but what does it all mean.. and better yet… who really cares… lol. Video coming soon.
1 commentGrace’s First Words…
Well - I coud blog about this very subject for several weeks. There is nothing more special than hearing the word "Daddy" from one of my children. I have often said that it even tops hearing them say "I love you". I can’t really explain it, but if you’re a father, then you know what I’m talking about.
Well tonight my little Gracie joined this elite club of persons that have me wrapped around their finger. As I was playing with her on the living room floor I decided to give the old "Say…. DaaaaaaDa" bit a try. (Malachi, Sara and Hannah all have said Dada before Mama.) She didn’t even hesitate- She just said it… plain as day… "dada". Wow…. I can’t explain it….
So I pulled out my phone and got a quick video clip.

Ok- so I admit it… I’m way behind on LOST, so to some of you (perhaps to all of you) this will be old news, but I had to share it regardless. This weekend Kara is out of town, so I thought I would catch up on missed episodes, since they’re now available for purchase via the iTunes music store. I love this, because you can’t really miss anything… if you didn’t hear something quite right, you can always rewind it and play it over and over again… those with Tivo know what I’m talking about. Well, the beauty of this coupled with the fact that I am a Mac user has helped me solve a VERY cool piece of Lost trivia.
At the beginning of episode #6 Abandoned (a.k.a. The Hunt) Shannon is waiting for Saed to come back with water. "That was quick" she says, then the camera pans back to the front of the tent where the obvious but dark figure of Walt stand dripping wet. They show a close up of his face and he mutters something… yeah- you don’t know what he says and I’m sure this sparked many a fights in households… Well - I captured the video, then played it backwards using Quicktime… and what do you know? Walt’s actually saying something… backwards.
Anyway- I made a video of it… playing back and forth 3 times. The video is bad, since it’s going backwards, but the audio is crystal clear. Now- let me forewarn you- It’s a bit freaky, and there’s going to be 3 progress bars, since I had to take a video of a video of a video… See for yourself…

Ok- I think all of you are aware that my daughter, Sara, is a super star waiting to happen. She’s got the attitude, the personality, the drive… and most definitely–the look. Our church is running 2 new commercials for the holiday season. Sara seems to be the star of this one.
Thanks to a man of incredible skills: Zach Kennedy, who edited this commercial… he’s the man.
