Betrayed …
As most of you know, other than my faith in Jesus, there are few things that I hold sacred. I know these may seem trivial to some of you, but I can’t explain just how important they are to me… they just are.
My children calling me "Daddy", Mac OS X on Apple Computers, The glow of the Citgo sign which can be clearly seen above Fenway Park…. and so on. Well this past week my beloved Red Sox Nation was betrayed by one of its own. Sox Center Fielder, Johnny Damon signed a 4 yr deal with the Yankees and drilled a stake into the heart of every Boston fan in America. It reminds me of Wade Boggs who signed with the Yankees after a stellar career with the Sox. It’s not often that someone as beloved as Boggs or Damon is tempted enough to commit the unpardonable sin of joining the Evil Empire.
But- what are you gonna do? Boston will continue to make catastrophic mistakes that cost us another failed attempt at a World Series title. And being the most loyal fans in the world, we will continue to throw our support and hearts into every season, regardless of the outcome, as evident as it may seem.
You guys just don’t understand… you should go rent Fever Pitch… it’s really like that… no- seriously… it is. We are a sad species. Let’s Go Red Sox.
No commentsKara and I

I wanted to take a moment and post this picture that Kara and I took on Christmas Day at her Grandparents house. They had a great Holly tree in full bloom that Kara spotted while we were looking for a nice place to snap this.
I have not had a chance to show it to anyone, so this seemed to be the best place to post it for all to see. Let me know what you think. I took this photo with the help of a "prop" … ahh–the wonders of technology and 5 foot trashcans.
By the way… I added Harry, Aaron, Christen & Oscar’s blogs to my blogroll, so you guys better add a brotha’ to your lists… Took me a while to find you guys!

I had to move my office 40 minutes away. I lost my voice. And now I’m sick. This week can get no worse… or can it?
